UCB: Social + Cultural Innovation in Wine & Coffee Industries (Spring 2015)

In this course, I discuss the innovative business models of the wine and coffee industry in California. Students learn about the historical and contemporary issues of Californian dining and drinking culture. Students also gain industry perspectives from guest speakers, such as Cakebread Cellars, Wrecking Ball Roaster, Ritual Coffee, and TCHO Chocolate. Site visits to Gondana Winery and TCHO Factory provide students with an opportunity to actively engage in real world experiences with artisan wine and chocolate makers.
